Our story

A small farm with a long view.

We're Capracopia — a working dairy goat farm on Thomas Road in Sebastopol. Our herd grazes redwood meadows, our cheese is hand-ladled by Mt. Eitan, and every gallon of rainwater we capture stays here. Twenty years in, we still do everything ourselves.

How we farm

Solar panels, rain barrels, and a herd that knows your voice.

Capracopia runs on the sun and the season. 100,000 gallons of captured rainwater irrigate the lavender. Our goats are Certified Humane® — a designation we earned in 2005 and have renewed every year since. The farm gives back more than it takes.
